Ao Viandante (To the Wayfarer) for chorus, written while at Obras Foundation for the Arts (Portugal), was released in August (2025) on Ablaze Records. Brett Scott and Coro Volante did stellar work.
Echoes and Refractions for percussion quartet was premiered at the New Music on the Bayou festival in June 2025. Performers were fabulous, and the whole festival was quite a treat!
I had a wonderful composer residency at Willapa Bay AIR, Washington, in October, very supportive, collegial, and fun fellows and directors.
Andy Wen is performing Half-Time as part of his busy recital schedule. It was great fun to hear him at Messiah University with Todd Goranson, another fabulous saxophone player, in an outstanding program of new compositions. We also met up at the Society of Composers conference at the University of Orono, (ME) in February, where he performed the piece again.
I’ve had a wonderful residency at Visby International Center for Composers (Sweden) for the month of April (2024), through a Swedish Arts Council grant. I worked on a percussion quartet, and interacted with many inspiring composers, performers, and students in the Center’s wonderfully equipped facility, on the island of Gotland, and in Stockholm.
